Reviews:

“All ten poems in this beautifully designed book with symbolical illustrations, revolve around the topic of beauty in nature and in humanity. People and nature are connected to one another, just as people are connected to each other. By using words of a poem as part of the title of the following poem, they become linked together like the rings of a chain. These rings proceed from gratitude for being alive to life in the mountains, from lonesomeness to community spirit. The book begins with a poem titled “Thanks”, dedicated to a mother, and ends with the poem “Not”, as a reminder that nature is the mother to all and does not belong to people alone.” White Ravens Committee.

In these ten poems by Marina Michaelidou-Kadi, contemporary and difficult themes are touched upon with great sensitivity. They cultivate empathy, love for the environment and out fellow human beings, inclusion, and gratitude. The poems’ life-inspired themes, such as joy and sadness, loneliness, loss and separation, open up opportunities for discussion with a child, but also a friend, or even ourselves.” Androniki Lasithiotakis

“With a subcutaneous melancholy, but also hope, Marina Michaelidou-Kadi’s poems light ten candles in the darkness that surrounds and disappoints us.” Apostolos Pappos, Elniplex.

“Poems [which] talk about emotions, human interactions, and the coexistence of humans with nature. Enhanced by the wonderful illustrations of Renia Metallinou, the poems encourage young readers to fill their hearts with love, compassion, and understanding.” Irini Koutmou, reviewer of children’s literature
